One means of being creative is one many people may not have thought of–your camera. You don’t have to have one as fancy as the one in this picture. The one in your phone will do nicely. Of course, selfies are the latest craze; but you’re only limited by your imagination. You can see the most “normal” scene as something special through the camera lens.
One wonderful thing about creative photos is that they are easily shared through apps like Instagram. Not just the “cool kids” are posting there, and they’re posting things like pictures of their pets. You can make connections with others through their reactions to what you post, and it’s always fun to see what others post and be inspired by them. It’s a no-pressure way to be creative when you’re just starting out. Even the pictures that would have been tossed in the “olden” days can be cropped and filtered to look totally different. If your hands shake because of physical issues, that can be made to look creative too.
I haven’t always thought of it that way, but once I saw my camera as another creative outlet, I felt more free to think about what I saw as something worth remembering and preserving. Maybe you will too.
I agree. I use my camera often. Most of the time, I am unsatisfied with my photos, but occasionally I see something incredible. Thanks for writing. Oh, I will put a link from our blog to yours on my blogroll.
