Step Up to Your Vocation as a Creator

Yesterday-and-Today-Vironika-Tugaleva-Quote-Desktop-Background-1024x576

It’s never, never too late. If you’ve been afraid to commit yourself to creativity, it’s okay. Just don’t let fear drive your car anymore (Elizabeth Gilbert, Big Magic). Do one thing creative every day. Claim your identity as a creator, no matter what you are creating. It will take you to a place no one else can touch you.

Don’t let people idly criticize you. When I say that, I mean open yourself to those you trust to tell you the truth. But don’t listen to those who don’t know you. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re not good enough or that your creations are worthless. Create, create, and create some more. Do it faithfully, and love the process for what it is. Let it set you on fire, for that is the reason for the work. Do it because you love it, and love it because you do it.

I'm a Southern girl at heart who wants to build a community of people who believe they can change the world with words like "love" and "freedom" when they become more than words, but actions in our work and our daily lives.
