Answer the Knock

Have you felt that knocking? Do you think that what you’re doing isn’t art? Well, I’m here to tell you that is not true. Do you dance? That’s art. Do you do crafts? That’s art too. Do you do performance art? That’s art. Are you a sculptor? Yep, that’s art. Do you take photographs? You got it. That’s art. Writing is an art too.

In my mind anything that someone does to make the world a more beautiful place is a kind of art. Being kind to others is an art. Getting through each day with chronic pain and fatigue is definitely an art, and the medium you use each day will be different.

Are you listening to your soul knocking? If you answer, what are you saying? Are you saying, “No, I have no talent. I’m not good enough. Pick somebody else.”  Or are you saying, “Thank you for the honor of being chosen to do this particular kind of art.”

The world around you just might turn into a beautiful work of art if you do the thing you’ve been asked to do. You could make a difference you can’t even imagine if you just do it.

Answer the knock. Let your soul in. Do art.
