If You Could Be Anybody, Who Would You Be?
She changed the world
By organizing their communities
If it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t know we were poor.
And we wouldn’t know there was something we could do to change things.
She gave us hope that changes could happen and taught us how to make them happen.
Now if we can just live the way she taught us…be the change we want to see…
Maybe we can do the same.
Tie dye everywhere
Rabbit ear televisions—
some with color, some with black and white;
Front and back doors unlocked
Because no one steals in Pleasantville.
Girls bake and take cookies to their boyfriends
Boys hold doors open for their girlfriends
And pick them up at the door.
Elvis shook things up with his hips and his voice.
The Beatles are the soundtrack of teenagers’ lives.
What a tie dye world!
Regular blogging starts back tomorrow with details of my thirds
Tomorrow, I’ll tell you about my third surgery in a year coming up. No date set, yet, but it’s been a wild year!
